Background

Delphine Software International is a French video game company, best known for Fade to Black, Flashback: The Quest for Identity, Moto Racer series, and Another World/Out of This World.



1st Logo (1989-1990)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with 9 gold bars with the text "DELPHINE". Below them is a gold rounded rectangle with the text "SOFTWARE" over it.

Variants:

  • On Bio Challenge, the entire logo is silver.
  • On Future Wars: Adventure in Time, the background is white with the logo being inside of a director's slate. The bars are red and the text "CINEMATIQUE" is below all of it.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: The opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen only on Castle Warrior, Bio Challenge and Future Wars: Adventure in Time.

2nd Logo (1990-August 19, 1995)

Visuals: Superimposed in the game's opening, there is a silhouette of a film projector colored in yellow. Behind it, there's the text "Delphine Software" in a plain font.

3rd Logo (August 31, 1995-March 9, 2001)


Visuals: On a black background, there is a trasparent shadow of a "D" moving. Then, the blue letters of "DSI" appear and zoom out in letter by letter. While the "I" becomes closer, a gray version of the film projector silhouette from the last logo zooms out, and the text "Delphine Software" and "INTERNATIONAL" flashes in below, along with the logo.

Variant: Still and custom versions exist.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A dreamy theme that sounds like the 1990 Universal Pictures theme. Sometimes silent or having the opening theme of the game.
