Logo (1999-2002)

Visuals: On a black background, a magenta-blue line appears from the top left of the screen, and moves anti-clockwise towards the center at slightly fast pace. Then, the line moves around the center of the screen, drawing the circle. As the red ball then appears from the top right side of the circle, the line draws an other circular end, making it look like a mirrored '6', and the ball then splits the lower and bottom right sides of the circle into the crescent moon-like lines and stops in the center of the screen, transforming into the DataSun logo and burning in red flames. As it's burning, the words "DATA" and "SUN" (in indigo blue) fade in letter-by-letter from the left and right sides of the logo, respectively. After that, the logo stops burning, then stays still for a few seconds, and fades out.

Trivia: This variant is only seen on international releases of their PC games.

Variant: The original Taiwanese version exists. The logo plays slightly slowly, while the music plays as usual, and, as the logo burns, the purple/indigo blue rectangle appears like a book opening. The rectangle itself reveals the company name in Taiwanese. After that, the Taiwanese byline (in the same colour as the rectangle) appears, with its hieroglyphs rotating. Two hieroglyphs in the byline sparkle, and the logo stays still for a few seconds, then fades out.

Technique: CGI. CGI and 2D animation in the Taiwanese version.

Audio: A low ding at the very beginning, followed by a catchy and dreamy synth note accompanied with a whimsical whoosh, a low explosion sound with two more dings (when the logo gets finished), ending with a low synth electric guitar sound and a high-pitched shimmering sound.

Audio Variant: The original Taiwanese version lacks the second ding after the low explosion sound, however.

Availability: Seen on many international releases of PC games developed by the company, such as the Pong Pong's Learning Adventure series.
