Background

Catalyst Distribution Inc. was a Canadian production company founded by Charles Falzon in 1996 that specialized in made-for-television films, miniseries, and shows. They were long affiliated with The Britt Allcroft Company/Gullane Entertainment, who held a stake in the company. In 2002, Catalyst merged with Cambium Productions to form CCI Entertainment (Cambium Catalyst International Entertainment).

Logo (October 8, 1997-2003)

Visuals: On a black background, a white parallelogram is seen on a royal blue square. Then, "CATALYST" flashes in below as does the parallelogram with the text revealing to be in the same color as the square when the flashing ceases.

Variants:

  • An in-credit version appears on The Longhouse Tales.
  • On Eckhart, copyright fades in below.
  • On season 2 episodes of Shining Time Station, the background is white.

Technique: CGI.
