1st Logo (1983-1993)

Logo: We first see an all white background which then fades to black. Then 7 white bars (sans the second one which is red) appear one by one. Then the text "CNR VIDEO" in a white rounded font with a red shadow flies in from below as every other bar fades out and settles in the middle.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo takes place on a black/purple gradient background, the animation of the (now 13) lines is wiped in by a clear plate, and rather than the text, a blue elegonated marquee with a turquoise shadow with 3 stripes (yellow/orange/red) and the text "CNR VIDEO" in yellow swoops in and "PRESENTEERT" in light blue appear one by one.
  • A short version exists where the white background fades, and then it fades to the bars part, with "CNR VIDEO" zooming quickly.

FX/SFX: The bars, the text.

Music/Sounds: Starts with a "ding", then a very 80s-esque synth-pop tune plays, with an electric piano sounder in the middle. The short version only has the "ding".

Availability: Spotted on Dutch VHS releases from the company.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (1990?-Mid 1990s?)

Nickname: "Multicolored Line Marathon"

Logo: On a black background, a series of multicolored lines rotated at 45º degrees wipe from both left & right. After a few seconds, it reveals a yellow gradient background with the lines from before, in rainbow colors. In the middle we see a zooming black/blue space background. Then, the proper logo zooms in with a few changes, such as, the marquee in red & black colors, the stripes being replaced with 4 stars, and the text "CNR Video" in a different typeface. The stars slightly zoom in and flicker one by one.

FX/SFX: Pretty great 2D animation at the time.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Can be spotted on their releases from the era.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (1993-1995)

Nickname: "Spinning Blue Star"

Logo: We cut to a blue star against a black background. About two or three seconds in, the star spins slowly, and the background turns into a black/blue gradient background. The same marquee from before fades in. They both zoom in slowly, and "CNR VIDEO" from before, this time colored indigo, fades in.

FX/SFX: The spinning star, the logo moving and text fading in.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 1st logo.

Availability: Seen on Dutch PAL and SECAM releases from the period.

Editor's Note: None.

4th Logo (1995-2000)

Logo: On a blue/red toned picture of glitter, two shining red and light blue rectangles with "CNR FILM & VIDEO", in yellow and sky blue, on them slide in and then stop perpendicular to each other. The warning appears by a particle effect for about 10 seconds. After the 10 seconds, the warning disappears with the same particle effect and the 2 rectangles meet up below with the light blue rectangle in the middle of the screen. It keeps shining until it fades out.

Variant: Another version of this logo replaced the blue section of the logo with gray. The light blue rectangle is now dark gray with grey text and the positions of the rectangles are switched. The copyright notice is now in a square with a yellow outline with no particle effect. The red rectangle also replaces the opposing one in the middle and the animations are switched.

FX/SFX: The rectangles, along with the shining and copyright warning effects.

Music/Sounds: Same as above.

Availability: Spotted on later releases from the company.

Editor's Note: None.
