Background

Blakman Video was formed in 1990 as an unconventional video editor by Norberto Lenardo Sznajdleder, and among the types of films that were mostly public domain material, and stood out for the sale service of outstanding directors.

1st Logo (1990-Mid 1990s?)

Logo: On a black background, we see the red word "BLAKMAN" with a white outline. Above it was the white words "UNA PRESENTACION" and below it was "Video NO Convencional", both of them with a red outline.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on early Blakman Video releases.

2nd Logo (Mid 1990s?)

Logo: The footage of the 2nd Proserpine logo plays over, but when the rainbow reaches the Ionic Roman column top as it spins, it freezes, then fading to a white background. We see the text "BLAKMAN" with five segmented lines over it, abruptly appears from the bottom and rises to the top whilst rotating, then it slightly zooms in. Then, the words "VIDEO" and "CONVENCIONAL" type in below, with "NO" in a horror-themed font wiping over, making it read "VIDEO NO CONVENCIONAL". After a few seconds, the "BLAKMAN" text dissolves, and the below zooms out.

Technique: Computer animation.

Music/Sounds: The Proserpine theme.

Availability: Rare. Spotted on a release of Piaf: Union Recital.
