Background

This is Dan Patterson's vanity plate. It was formed in 2004.

1st Logo (March 13, 2005-November 9, 2009)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the gray word "Angst" with various sizes from right to left each letter, with a red light surrounding it. The word "Productions" is on the bottom right corner of the word "Angst".

Variants:

  • On Mock the Week, the logo has a copyright info shown below, and sometimes with the 1997 BBC logo.
  • On Kelsey Grammer Presents The Sketch Show, the logo is next to the Baby Cow Productions logo.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on the first four series of Mock the Week, as well as the DVD release Too Hot for TV and Kelsey Grammer Presents The Sketch Show on Fox.

2nd Logo (July 12, 2007-)


Visuals: On a black background, there is the orange text "Angst" in a Franklin Gothic font that was surrounded by a red light behind the text. On the bottom right, it was the word "Productions", also in Franklin Gothic.

Variants:

  • There exists an animated version where the logo zooms in and the light shines.
  • On Mock the Week and Fast and Loose, the logo is smaller, shifted to the top to make room for the BBC logo and a copyright date below the logo.
