They are well-known for organizing the annual Academy Awards (popularly known as the Oscars). In addition to that, they also organize the Governors Awards (lifetime achievement in film). 1st Logo (February 22, 2015-February 25, 2019)

Logo: On a white background, we see the logo of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The word "PRODUCTION", appears in the same font on the bottom of the logo.

Variants: From 2017 until 2019, the logo became smaller and the word "PRODUCTION" was removed.

FX/SFX: None

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Extinct. It was only used during The Oscar's Red Carpet Show (the pre-show of the Academy Awards or the Oscars) from 2015 until 2019.

2nd Logo (February 9, 2020-)

Logo: On a black background, we a set of horizontal lines moving straight. The lines shrinks and disappears as it moves straight. Then, a parallelogram with a dotted pattern moves to the right, revealing the logo of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in silhouette form (while the Oscar statuette is shown in a dotted pattern). While the parallelogram moves, a gold-colored triangle moves and grows from the middle left of the screen, until it touched the parallelogram, which forms into a gold-colored shape and the dotted parallelogram shrinks. The gold-colored parallelogram shrinks and forms the logo, with the statuette shown in a silhouette form. Then, the parallelogram shrinks and breaks into lines, forming a curve-shaped wall, until the lines shrink and disappear.

FX/SFX: The horizontal lines moving and shrinking, the parallelogram moving to the middle until the triangle touches the shape, and the lines forming into a curve-shaped wall. Everything is done in 2D animation.

Editor's Note: A somewhat simple, but effective logo.
