This chart will give the user 11 chances to make this right. If they don't live up to the 11, they get permanently block from the site. By the way, this won't apply to our average trolls and sock puppets, they get immediately Perma blocked.

#Not opposed to the idea, but shouldn't admins make their best judgement on what block time fits the bill? Additionally, I would oppose the year-long ban, as at that point, it's basically indefinite. Maybe replace that with an indefinite block with appeals after 1 year. Just some food for thought. [[User:Blad|Blad]] ([[User talk:Blad|talk]]) 02:15, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

Today I am here requesting we make a new "Block O Meter" type thing to be less harsh to noobs.

Besides our trolls and sockers, we should rate our blocks based on the following chart.

  • Warning
  • Second Warning
  • (NEW) Third Warning. This will be their final warning just in case they don't get the memo.
  • (NEW) Hour-ish Block. A whole hour to reflect on what they did. User returns to editing after the hour of reading the rules.
  • 24 Hour (1 Day) Block.
  • 76 Hour (3 Day) Block.
  • 168 Hour (1 Week) Block.
  • (NEW) 336 Hour (2 week) Block. At this point they should get the memo to stop
  • 720 Hour (1 Month) Block.
  • (NEW) 2160 (2 Month) Block
  • (NEW) 8760 (1 Year) Block. This will be the user's final chance and warning.
  • Indefinite (Permanent) Block.

This chart will give the user 11 chances to make this right. If they don't live up to the 11, they get permanently block from the site. By the way, this won't apply to our average trolls and sock puppets, they get immediately Perma blocked.

  1. Not opposed to the idea, but shouldn't admins make their best judgement on what block time fits the bill? Additionally, I would oppose the year-long ban, as at that point, it's basically indefinite. Maybe replace that with an indefinite block with appeals after 1 year. Just some food for thought.
