Background

A.B.C. T.V. was a micro pirate television channel run from a house in South Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 1981 by Ruud Koopman. The channel had a very small audience and only broadcast it's own productions using one rented camera. The station sold a total of 3 advertisement slots, of which the entire profits were used to run the channel. Ruud feared the RCD (Radiocontrolle Dienst), so he stationed his channel in a colleague's house and set up a radio using the frequency of the RCD officers, which would alert him of a raid. The channel used the exact same method of "breaking-in" as Rabotnik TV / P.K.P. TV, in which it broadcast directly to a receiver for BRT 2 on the Okura hotel building after it signed off, which would then increase their reach.
